WHAT THIS IS:

 This is an upgrade version of our Atapi PnP demo device driver, with a
 lot of new features .

VERSION: 3.6 demo (last public demo version was 3.0 )


HOW TO INSTALL:

 Please note that the archive "AtapiPnP300.lha" (from Aminet driver/media)
 must be installed .

 If you are using another atapi device driver , be sure that it is
 not active (i.e. comment it in the startup batch and/or move it from
 Devs/Dosdrivers into Storage/Dosdrivers ) .

 simple put the file "cd.device" into devs: . If you have already a registered
 cd.device store it in a safe place .


 You can save the two utilities AtapiCheck and CdChanger where you prefer.



INCLUDED FILES:

 cd.device  :
               - v. 3.6
               - bug fixed for wich the device crashes the system after the
                 1 h test and by a NscmdQuerry call
               - big-bug by the subchannel read code fixed . It was the cause
                 for many audio play problems. (I'm sorry )
               - better atapi recognizon
               - some minor bugs fixed
               - more transfer speed
               - CD_READ for 2328 bytes of sector size support added

               - Complete Atapi Cd Changers support (like the Nec 4x4)
                 with new commands

               - A4000 Tower is now supported
               - rewritten for compliance with the SFF-8020 v2.6 standard

               - added a new async play position polling function
                 ( will be usefull for some new audio players )


 CdChanger :   - for swapping the CDs in a Cd Changer
               - usefull only for owners of the Nec 4x4 , 7x4 or similar

 AtapiCheck:   - v. 2.0
               - more infos like the new driver page
               - compliance to the new SFF-8020 2.6
               - new gui

 Please read the section "HOW TO REGISTER" in the manual
 of the "AtapiPnP300.lha" or + archive .
