        Picture of Brad Gerlach surf(board)ing at Backdoor, from the
        April '94 issue  of  Surfer,  p.51.   I  especially like the
        caption:

            "I was talking to one of the guys after his heat and
            I asked him how  it  was  going.   He  said, `Not so
            good.   I  lost.' And I thought to myself, `How  can
            you ever _lose_ by going surfing?'"
