These 3 pix have been illuminated with the 'hemisphere' radiosity method.
Though they are not exceptionnal, you can see how the pix are realistic.

 around 2 hours  on a sun 4 for ~20000 faces

As the method makes a global illumination of the scene, once the illumination
is done, the scene can be seen from whereever we want, and in whatever direction
we want.
The illumination program was developed as a class project for our second 
semester of 93/94 in computer sciences.
