 | | Uh, I corrected one bug but introduced another in last version (guru when
ClipHistory was open on nonpublic screen). This has been fixed (thanks to
Jostein Klemmetsrud for report!)
This little patch prevents ClipHistory 2.4 by Magnus Holmgren from possible
crashing when you open its GUI and have clip(s) longer than 32767 bytes. It
simply workarounds Kickstart bug with TextFit() graphics.library function,
which treats strLen parameter as WORD (while the autodocs describe this
parameter as UWORD). Unfortunately, it works with KS 3.x only.
To apply the patch you require:
- ClipHistory.pch (SAS scompare patch file, included in this archive)
- spatch (SAS Binary File Patcher V6.50, included in this archive)
- ClipHistory in version 2.4 (see Aminet util/cdity/ClipHistory.lha)
Installation is fairly simple; just type the following in a shell window:
'spatch ClipHistory'.
The patch file was created using the scompare SAS Binary File Compare Program
